Acts 28:30

The name “RentedHouse” Youth Ministry is based on Paul and his ministry in Acts 28:30, "For the next two years, Paul lived in his own rented house.  He welcomed all who visited him, proclaiming the Kingdom of God with all boldness and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ.  And no one tried to stop him."

Paul was unable to go freely to preach the gospel being under Roman guard but was able to provide a place for all those that came to him to hear the gospel.  One commentary notes, "namely, a house in the most noted place in the city, for the convenience of those that came to him; large enough to hold many; free from noise and disturbance; and not situated in a scandalous neighborhood, nor near to shows and plays; and that the lodging should rather be on the floor than in an upper room.”  Conveniently located in an area easily accessible for all, free from distraction, comfortable for those who came to see him.

The vision of RentedHouse Youth Ministry is much the same as Paul's ministry, but not with the same limitations as he had.  To not only welcome all who would come, but to go out and be witnesses to the youth in our city and surrounding area by proclaiming the kingdom of God.  Our heart's desire at Fountain of Faith Fellowship church is that our youth come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, to experience His love and fellowship in a personal way.  The mission of RentedHouse Youth Ministry is to provide a conveniently located place to gather together for worship, ministry, fellowship and fun, to welcome ALL who come, preach the kingdom of God and those things which concern the Lord Jesus WITH ALL BOLDNESS, NO MAN FORBIDDING....That our youth would participate in the church and reach out to others by presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ and discipling them by being witnesses before them.  Matthew 5:14, "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid."
